Nasty politics still alive in waltham forest?

Is war still on-going between two former Lib Dems???

In our last article a nasty homophobic comment was left by “Butt Hurt O’Rourke”. This anonymous person is claiming that a member of the TWO team is one of the four people who were deselected or discriminated against by the Walthamstow Liberal Democrat in 2010.

This sort of nasty homophobic comment should not be tolerated – particularly by any of Waltham Forest’s political parties. We call on all political parties in Waltham Forest to denounce this comment and remove the culprits should they be one of their members.

Because of the commenter’s  homophobic remarks we are forwarding their comment to all the political parties and those involved in elections in 2010

We will also be referring this matter to the police.

Residents of Waltham Forest should unite to stand against such nasty and disgusting homophobic abuse.

Where there’s muck there’s brass!

Yet another publically-funded company promoting business, and with close ties to Waltham Forest Council, is accused of financial irregularities.

Belatedly, the Labour run Council has uncovered the fact that the E11 Bid had failed to disclose debts and found issues relating to the company’s governance.

Truth Will Out are not as surprised  at such revelations given who, in the past, was responsible for E11 Bid finances and may well still be?Khan

Johar Khan, alias The Scarlet Pimpernel, was/is the Finance Director of the E11 Bid.

E11 BID_KhanKhan should be comfortable in his new political home, after his successful appeal against not being approved as a local election candidate, as we are sure E11 Bids irregularities will be swept under the carpet like they have been for the Better Neighbourhood Initiative and WorkNet. Khan will join the illustrious group of Labour members who have, so far, eluded questions as to their roles in similar situations.

Walthamstow’s Losers

Walthamstow’s MP, Stella Creasy, appears not to be as popular as her PR machine indicates.

Not only has she been overlooked by Labour leader Ed Milliband but her local constituency party is rumoured to have chosen Johar Khan (Scarlet Pimpernel) to represent Markhouse Ward.

This is the same Mr Khan who, as Chair of Walthamstow Lib Dems, spearheadedScarlet Pimpernel the unpleasant anti Labour literature campaign in the 2010 local elections. We are not able to confirm right now who has been de-selected to make way for Mr Khan; but de-selections are not unfamiliar to him . Leading up to the 2010 local elections he was instrumental in the de-selection of then fellow existing Lib Dem councillors.Khan_reward

In 2010 Mr Khan as Chair of Walthamstow Lib Dems sanctioned the delivery of over 250,000 leaflets. Rumours remain the election expectations he signed off did not comply with financial constraints!

Warsi’s Farcei

Sadly, it seems the national Conservative Party co-chairman, Baroness Warsi, has been caught up in the well known, yet unspoken, corruption within Waltham Forest.

Prime Minister, David Cameron, has ordered an official investigation into whether Baroness Warsi broke ministerial rules by taking a business associate Mr Abid Hussain, a relative by marriage with whom she is involved in a catering business and Waltham Forest resident on an official trip overseas.

Mr Hussain is well known to all three main political parties in Waltham Forest as he was, until recently, an ‘independent’ member of the standards panel for Waltham Forest Council –  a body charged with monitoring Councillors conduct.

Mr Hussain’s connection to all three main political parties may give some some credence to the allegation that radical Islamist’s have been infiltrating all three main parties in the hope of turning Britain into an Islamic republic.

All three main political parties are guilty of pandering to ‘ethnic votes‘ to gain power.

In Waltham Forest Mr  Hussain has links with The Scarlet Pimpernel,  the Ali dynasty and Cllr Afzal Akram.

Such allegiances need to be challenged not just nationally but within Waltham Forest – those in public service, elected or otherwise, need to represent the whole community and not just the ‘minority’!

Democrat becomes Liberal

A former Waltham Forest Councillor exiled from the Liberal Democrats for speaking out against alleged corruption and racism is standing in the forthcoming by-election in Larkswood ward.

James O’Rourke has thrown his hat into the ring as an old-fashioned Liberal. Whilst we, and others, are encouraged to hear of his return, we thought the negative impact of The Scarlet Pimpernel would have discouraged Mr O’Rourke from returning to politics for life!

However, we wholeheartedly agree with Archipelago of Truth that Mr O’Rourke was a “…hard-working, case-working councillor when he was the representative for the High Street ward” and that by standing as a Liberal Party candidate it “…is the closest thing … to standing as an Independent without actually taking the plunge.”

Realistically, Mr O’Rourke is not going to beat the Conservatives on their ‘home turf’ but we wish him all the very best in dramatically reducing their majority and seeing off the other pretenders.

Wombling in Waltham Forest

Like Wombles the Waltham Forest Labour party are recycling defunct politicians by welcoming them into their fold.

The defections to Labour are not limited to Liberal Democrats. Two former Thatcherite Conservative councillors, Graham Sinclair and Lesley Finlayson, are now card carrying Red Tories.

It seems the days of politicians sticking to their principles in Waltham Forest are, well and truly, over.

An interesting theory in regards the Liberal Democrat defections has arised. Click here to find out more.

Wound publicly opened

The announcement of two, so called high-profile, Liberal Democrats defecting to the Labour party seems to have opened a deep political wound Cllr Bob Sullivan would have rather festered in private.

In response to the Waltham Forest Guardian’s website article former councillor, James O’Rourke, says of his former ‘colleague’, The Scarlet Pimpernel, whose defection we predicted seven months ago:

The irony of Khan’s defection is not lost on me given that he and his lemming cronies – Wheatley, Ahmed, Hussain, Meiszner et al – kicked me out of the Liberal Democrats last June for speaking out against their ‘questionable practices’ of deselecting three prominent and competent sitting Councillors in favour of a candidate who had not been approved for a target seat.

and

As for Khan’s statement that “will continue to work for our community in Waltham Forest” I wish the Labour party the best of luck. When he and I were Councillors in High Street ward he did sod all.

Cllr Sullivan is clearly (we understand one of Keith Rayner’s favorite words!) in denial. There are likely to be more defections to Labour because stronger rumours continue to circulate that two of Cllr Sullivan’s councillor colleagues are still in talks with the Labour party – one of whom was the running mate of Khan and O’Rourke in the May 2010 local elections.

It seems the Liberal Democrats are in free-fall, both locally and nationally, without parachutes!

I’ll have a Number 2

How fitting that the Walthamstow Liberal Democrats are asking people to vote Yes, in the forthcoming Alternative Vote (AV) referendum on 5th May, in a Focus that resembles a take away leaflet.

The garish leaflet outlines the “miserable little compromise” the Liberal Democats have ‘forced’ from the Tories.

Like a take way you can place your order according to one’s preference. It could be the Lib Dems will be deluged with No 2’s!

The leaflet shines a lot of light on how the Walthamstow Lib  Dems are recovering from the loss of eight Councillors in the May 2010 local elections.

  • Former Councillor, Bob Wheatley, has abandoned William Morris ward
  • They only have enough people to concentrate on 3 of the 8 Walthamstow wards
  • Former Councillor and Constituency chair, Johar Khan, is not listed following his defection to the Labour Party.

Plague of the Lib Dem rats

It seems Lib Dems throughout the country, particularly those facing local elections this May, are bailing out of the Party.

The strong rumours, recently reported on this site, of Lib Dem Councillors in talks with the Labour Party have been strongly denied by their ‘Leader’, Cllr Bob Sullivan. So far three Lib Dem Councillors have denied bailing out. That still leaves the other three.

As for Khan and Rayner the picture below says it all!

Shape-shifting Liberal Democrats

Waltham Forest Liberal Democrats mortally wounded by the shenanigans of the Scarlet Pimpernel and his Walthamstow cronies have been dealt another blow.

A seperate senior Labour source has confirmed that the former Liberal Democrat leader, Keith Rayner, and his side kick, Johar Khan, have officially joined the Labour Party in Waltham Forest.

Although yet to be substantiated it is also rumoured that two current Liberal Democrat Councillors are in secret talks with the Labour Party.

It seems the Waltham Forest Liberal Democrats are experiencing the same fate awaiting the national Party in 2015, but somewhat earlier – extinction.
